If I smoke cigarettes will it affect my insurance premium?

Smokers are always rated higher by insurance companies. Your insurance premium will probably be classed "Standard". To qualify for a "Preferred" insurance class, most insurance companies stipulate that you must have stopped smoking at least 12 months before your insurance application.
